Vojislav - Vojo Stanić (1924)

Montenegrin painter and academician, lives and works in Herceg Novi for more than half a century. His precise and mischievous eye curious and intelligent observer sea, waterfront and residents through the window of his studio. Stanić declares that the universe runs next to his window. Although reminiscent of Bosch, Margita and De Chirico, hi is the creator of the authentic language of painting and distinctive magical scenery of the Mediterranean atmosphere and the "ordinary genius and spendthrift of beauty". Everything he see and imagine, he continuously transfer to the canvas.

Painting is the simplest and most accessible art. Painting is close to everyone, and most naive man. In the works of the greatest artists, exists a small part of naivety. When I say naivety, I think to a certain spiritual freshness that some people keep their lifetime.
